Iris Judotter Album Launch
Was invited to Iris' album launch this evening at Earshots (at The Art House). It was a refreshing experience since I've never really been to such events before. But it seems that if I want to continue doing what I want to do, I might need to start attending more of such events. Iris is a really good singer, and I do like the songs she sang - very different from the mainstream Chinese/Korean poppish songs that most of the singer wannabes sing these days. The crowd was really cool too - laidback, casual and I noticed some interesting and familiar faces there at the launch. It was fun later on since I realized that one of my godsister's friend is a friend of one of my best friends, and he is just one of the nicest guys I've ever met. For a situation as foreign to me as tonight's music launch, it was weird that I actually felt this deja vu-ic sense of familiarity with the people there. But boy, do I need to lose some fats!
