Uhh...Bee-what?! Yup. It's BEE-HAGS. You know, LCN Bees or old female bees that cannot get married? (By the way, for those not in the know, LCN = Lao Chu Nu = Old Maids). Anyway, what's up with these things, you may ask. Certainly, nothing to do with Bees. BHAGs = Big Hairy Audacious Goals. This is something my friend, D., introduced to me when I mentioned that I have mapped out my whole life. Now, I have a term for it - BHAGs. What a wonderful term. Perhaps it is the Disney influence, but immediately after that, I took out my old drawing block (yes, those big sheets of white, thick, rough paper that we used to draw on for Art class in school), and drew a big hairy shapeless figure and started writing Angie's BHAGs in it. Curious to know what my BHAGs are? See below:
- Finish up my MSc and get my PhD
- Get a Fashion Design degree
- Fly to New York and work at a Fashion Powerhouse!
- Be a New York-based fashion designer
- Work at Disney
- Obtain my driving and speedboat licenses
- Master French, Spanish, German, Dutch, Japanese
- Set up my own businesses
- Work for a nonprofit organization dealing with sustainable development issues
