Some advice a good friend got from a book and painstakingly typed out for me on MSN:

"You like someone. You want to make it known. What should you do? Well, if you are a guy, it' simple. Go right up to her and say it in the face: "I like you!"

If she responds warmly, then congrats! You got urself a friend! If she responds cooldly, laugh at her and say: "haha, I bet u thought i was serious. You look damn silly, hahahahah etc."

But if u are a girl, then the problem becomes very complicated. You have three choices:
A) YOU CAN TELL HIM
pro: this is very direct, and you won't have to waste time agonising
con: Regardless of how it turns out, you will forever be branded by anyone who knows or does not know u as a 'desperate' case. If u can live with this, fine

b) You can shave your head and become a nun
Pro: No more problems with men
con: No more problems with men

c) you can make him reveal his true feelings
pro: Can act cool and force the guy to make all the moves
Con: if the guy is dense n hasn't read the "teenage Textbook" you can play cool till you become a senior citizen and you wun see him making any moves
