It's 1:03am on Tuesday morning and I am sitting here writing my blog. Why am I still up so late? Or early? Especially when I have to be in school at 10am tomorrow? Well, I am waiting for my hair to dry! Ridiculous some may say, but it's a fact. Besides writing my blog, I am also waiting for kind Sam to send me songs to listen to on a lonely peaceful quiet night like tonight. I wish I feel peaceful often. Unfortunately, a recent spate of events have driven my stress level to atmospheric levels and turned me into a chilli padi monster. Banging of tables, slamming of doors, kicking over tables, tearing paper, throwing cushions and pillows around. The last time I did that was when I was 9? Anyway, today I went to watch Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. The scenery was gorgeous and the cinematography was very artistic when compared with the first two in the series of Potter movies. However, I felt that the portrayal of events and the story wasn't very smooth and the effects overtook the actual story. There was a great effort to make the movie a humourous one but the attempt seemed rather forced. Also, despite the hype about how Harry is portrayed to have grown into a teenager and is facing angst and frustration, it doesn't show in the movie. There was only a feeble attempt in scenes where he cries or kicks the chest. It appears to me that he is still much the kid he was. Harry was also portrayed as not being very bright, even though he is a hero. The new Dumbledore also did not give me the same feeling that the old one did. He didn't give me the headmaster and great wizard feel, and he didn't look as kind as the old Dumbledore. Besides all these, I think it is an above average show. Watch it for the fine scenery. Beautiful place...
