Tatsuya Part 2
OMG. Can't believe I went to Tatsuya for lunch again today. Same sushi bento set, same section of the restaurant. But interestingly, the sashimi sushis I had today were different from yesterday's. I had 2 maguro sashimi sushi, 2 salmon sashimi sushi, 1 yellowtail sashimi sushi (thanks gou for identifying it for me!), and 1 ebi sashimi sushi. WTH? Inconsistency in product? Or flexibility in sushi production depending on the quantity of ingredients they had that day? Recently, I also noticed that Ichiban Sushi had substantial inconsistencies in the food they served: the salmon nabemono's salmon were sliced in 3 different ways and placed in different places (once in the soup and twice outside the soup on a separate plate) during the 3 times I tried it. The cheese sushi were of different sizes and seared differently all 3 times. Sakae Sushi and McDonald's also had similar problems, but none as aggravated as Ichiban Sushi's. I wonder if the measure of good food is quality and taste or is it consistency...
