After the exhilaration of skiing, I started thinking about what I accomplished in this shitty year. Yes, extremely shitty, and hopefully a better ending now. Anyway, this is what I compiled:
- Driving. Finally got off my butt to learn driving, and managed to get a license within 3.5 months of learning. It doesn't hurt that I had a great time with my driving instructors and an almost rendezvous?
- Skiing. Yup. My latest achievement today. Managed to control my speed, braking, and direction marginally.
- Bachelor's Degree. Almost forgot that I convocated this year, and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree with Honours and a gold medal for being the most outstanding student in the department. This doesn't seem as much of an achievement as the previous two though.
- MSc. Unknowingly signing myself in for torture in the mental institution. I enjoy it at times, but at other times, the abstraction of it just exterminates all my brain cells the way Hitler exterminated the gays and the Jews.
- Fairy Godmother. Yes. Nov 27th marked the day when I officially became a fairy godmother (or a godmother, at least) to my cousin, Jessica.
- Homosexual Paper. This year also marks the finishing of my homosexual paper that has been an ongoing part of my research in the quest to uncover the factors which homosexuals are discriminated against while seeking employment at companies in Singapore. It will be sent off to a conference and an academic journal in Jan 05.
- Financial Independence. With the scholarship and some extra cash coming in, I have also become a great spender. Spending lavishly on cosmetics, clothes, taxi, and anything that I can spend on. It's crazy. Guess that's what you call financial independence?
- Holiday in Korea. I suppose you can call that as an accomplishment. I always love my travel adventures, and after so many years, I've finally visited the destination that I shunned since 1999.
That's about all for now... Will update the list if anything else happens along the way. :)
