The NEL and The Knightbus
Suddenly, it appears out of the darkness
Bright lights shining
Trundling down a road unknown to most
Except its users
Carrying passengers as weird and quirky
As witches and wizards
Who to lesser creatures
Possess the gift of intellect and wisdom

Book Review: The Devil Wears Prada
Andrea is a smalltown girl who moved to NYC for a job that's going to get her onto the team of writers who write the best paper in the world (according to her). It's a job that millions of girls would die for! Working for a fashion editor sounds glam enough, but working in a company that requires you to look like a runway model daily and housing gyms, beauty parlors, spas, and the CLOSET (an auditorium used to stock all the clothes and accessories from fashion shoots - Prada, Gucci, Chanel, Fendi, Manolo Blahnik, Versace, Michael Kors, Kate Spade, ...) to give you the perfect look (NOTE: ON the HOUSE!) is simply perfect! But...wait a minute...this job also requires you to give up your entire social life, your dignity, and your sleep. Is it worth it after all?

Many people are becoming like Andrea. Work, work, work... What's really important in life?
Perhaps looking like a runway model everyday. :P

Rotterdam train stations and Dover MRT
Have you ever realized that Dover MRT Station is structured differently from the rest? Its train tracks are lined up right next to each other, with the platforms on separate sides. Why is it structured like that? I have no answer. But in Rotterdam, its intra-city underground train stations are mostly like that. Often, I have to figure out the right entrance, if not, I'd have to climb up the stairs and walk over to the right one. Pretty troublesome. Or perhaps, we are just too pampered in Singapore.
