Breeks! Eeks?
Had dinner at Breeks! (aka Zingdo!) on Level 5 of Ngee Ann City today. Was perhaps the most terrible meal I had eaten in a long time. The menu had been reduced to patheticism, and had it not been for our growling stomachs, we would have gone elsewhere. Perhaps it was the food we ordered, but it was extremely dry. I have never eaten a drier Fish and Chips. Almost got a sore throat after that. Decided to soothe my throat with a cup of Earl Grey. But guess what? They gave us Lipton Earl Grey. YUCK. What's worse, the tea came in free Lipton mugs. How cheap is that?! The chorusing of the waiters upon your entry and departure was rather freaky too. HI! WELCOME TO BREEKS! THANK YOU! PLEASE COME AGAIN! Those things alone makes it certain that it is beyond my last choice of dining experience.
